Sweeten your tooth: The Shed at Glenwood

They have this insanely good yogurt. Made of goat’s milk. Then topped with dates, honey, and something crunchy. It plays mind tricks on me. So delicious.

Oh, and the carrot cake is so moist and so good.

Go ahead. Give in. Indulge your sweet tooth. I don’t have one but the yogurt really does it for me. Tell them C-dot sent you.

Slurp on this: Pho Dai Loi 2

It’s a cross between a soup and a beef stew. It’s hearty. Meaty. Delicious. Paired with a perfectly toasted, crusty baguette. Sop it up. Yes, it’s that good. (Look for it under the soup section on the menu.)

Of course, the pho and bun dishes are also winners.

Oh My Canada…

Dear Food Buddies,

I’m in Toronto for another two weeks. (Don’t worry, you won’t even notice I’m gone.) So far…

I’ve been to 6 bakeries in 3 days. Total damage from one bakery alone: $100 worth of bread and pastries. And I ate them all.

I ate the most delicious Vietnamese pig feet stew.

I ate the most delicious Chinese meal that included pork soup and offal in black bean sauce.

I’ve noticed that people here drive soooooo slow. And everyone is so nice that they let you though when you need to change lanes last minute or when you simply want to get ahead during rush hour traffic. Incidentally, I was in a minor fender-bender yesterday. No one was hurt and only minor damage incurred. To JW who let me off so easily and was the nicest guy about it ever: thank you, not only do you look like a rock star, you rock!

I’ve been eating ketchup Chips; and KitKats and Diet Coke which taste much better here.

The last time I was here was two years ago. Nothing much has changed.

P.S. I miss Atlanta for some reason.
