Best Korean Dinner: Cafe Tohdamgol

Cafe Todahmgol (Duluth)

Cafe Todahmgol (Duluth)
I took the pork fat drippings and drizzled it over my rice. OMG.

I eat Korean all the time. There was one week in May last year that I ate it 7 times in a week. Crazy. I’ve been here many times. But the other night was the best Korean dinner I’ve had this year. We demolished everything in front of us. The boneless galbi and pork belly rule here. And the delicate chawanmushi is to-die-for. (What happened to the pictures, FB?)

Oh and I almost forgot… I became a Korean last year. Thanks, Gene.

More here and here.

Open later for dinner on weekdays than weekends. (Does that make sense to you?)

Wow - we have not been here in awhile. Is the menu still only in Korean? Looks like good food though.

I ended up going last night for the first time, very smoky indeed — and the service was absolutely terrible, nobody wanted to come take our order and getting the check / change took longer than it did to eat the meal.

I can confirm the menu is still entirely in Korean, and, the food is still extremely delicious. It was definitely not all bad and I would like to go back and try it again when it’s a little less busy in the hopes that the quality of the service can match the quality of the food a little more closely.

The pork belly cuts were more than generous and the beef was lean yet still extremely flavorful. Any place that gives you finishing salt is not kidding around.

    Thanks for the recommendation!
