Looking for mojo

I’m off to the beach for a week. Not only do I need to find my blogging mojo, my 12-year old nephew is visiting from NYC and must, must go to a beach. He could care less about the water but sand is something he’s crazy about. New York City dwellers are funny like that.

But back to the mojo… summers are always a busy time for me. Lots of traveling and family visiting from everywhere happen this time of year. My 75-year old grandma, two uncles, and an aunt just left after a month-long visit and now the nephew is here. We’ve all been camping out at my parents’ house which is ground zero — for food, at least. I have over a dozen drafts waiting to be finished but it’s just really difficult to stay focused and write. So pardon another hiatus while I ride out the rest of the summer. I know I’m being very adventurous when I say this, but I hope to get a post or two up while I’m gone. In any case, I’ll be right back.

Be right back…

I’m off to Europe this Saturday for two weeks.  All I can think of right now is pizza in Rome and dumplings in Prague.  I need to pack.  And I need to update this site.  I changed phones and phone carriers which is what’s been consuming my time –  not to mention the 2 hours I stood in line to get my new phone ;)  I’m having Blackberry (and true-blue Push email) withdrawal.  But I’m getting over it.  I will update this site before I leave and will have a couple of posts while I’m gone.  In the meantime, check me out on Facebook and Twitter.

Be Back Soon…

I apologize for the lack of posts. I spent last week in Florida with my brother and his family. Being New Yorkers, a beach vacation is a must for them. We did the Disney parks, the beach, and the nightly trips to Ghirardelli. It was too short but fun. I am now in the DC area this whole week for a certification class. I should be back this weekend. For now, I leave you with this:

Blue crabs

Tonight’s dinner was courtesy of Bethesda Crab House. It was a super duper fantastic dinner. The blue crabs were huge, fresh, and sweet tasting. If I were to choose my last meal on earth, it would be blue crabs. These crabs were so huge the meat was equivalent to 4 regular blue crabs. I finished all 6. That’s like eating 2 dozen crabs. All on my own. Time to take a nap.

Be back soon!
–Chloe.

R&R

I’m currently in San Francisco for a much deserved R&R. I’ve been here since yesterday and will stay the entire week. I have a couple of posts that will be published automatically and I plan (not promise) to hopefully publish a post or two while I’m here. I will, however, upload pictures to my Flickr account so do make sure you check it out.
