Hello 2009!
I never thought I would be able to survive even 5 minutes without a computer, much less an internet connection, but I did. And it’s so liberating. Three glorious weeks of being unplugged has done good to my psyche. I feel fabulous. And refreshed.
I woke up to this:

I ate this (every day):

And drank this at every stop:

I had a wonderful time with family frolicking (and eating) in (and around) the beaches of Cozumel, Bahamas, a few more Caribbean spots, and even Miami Beach. But I seriously need to lose a few pounds. Seriously. My bottomless pit of a stomach (yes, I can eat) has me bulging in places where they shouldn’t be seen. And with my petite frame, even 4 pounds is a lot and will show considerably. Time to eat sensibly again.
In the meantime, I need to let you in on one divine indulgence:

This is the newest desert at Murhpy’s. You guys know I’m not big on desserts. More so, cheese cakes. But this Sweetgrass Dairy goat cheese cheesecake is beyond words. I had two. It comes with grilled fresh apricots. Divine is an understatement. Run, don’t walk and get yours now. Limited availability. Absolute heaven!

That goat cheese cheesecake wouldn’t stand a chance with us. Not a chance!!!! We can’t think of a better way to spend the holidays other than eating, eating, eating. We’re from the South too, and we think that Southerners are the only people who truly know how to chow down.
