No. 38: Dan Moo Ji
Did you know? This is my 38th Korean post. I have more posts than real Koreans combined. I am going back to Dan Moo Ji for the 3rd time next week and I will post this on their wall:

Had the Girl’s Set Menu with a friend here a couple of weeks back.

Tteokbokki. I love spicy rice cake stew and their version is pretty good. Lots of chewy, chewy rice cake in spicy, spicy sauce. (Notice the double words?) There was an egg, veggies, and some sweet Korean potato slices in there, too. Hearty, spicy, and yummy.

Oden. Fish cakes in soup. The soy-based broth was quite flavorful and the fish cake was more fun to eat than anything else.

Soon Dae. Blood sausage. Delicious.

Bulgogi Kimbap. Japanese maki on steroids. These had barbecued beef sirloin in them. Step it up a notch and dip them in the rice cake stew. So good.
I also like their chicken wings and fried rice. Fun atmosphere with cute servers (think Korean version of Japanese harajuku girls). Excellent service.

I too appear to have documented more Korean food than others. It’s just, everything I’ve needed for the past two years especially. We’re going to have to get together an just nom. The Koreans don’t appear to understand the idea of diet and snow-free winter…
