Wake up to this: Gato Bizco

It’s one of the most underrated breakfast places in town. Did you know? They make the best sweet potato pancakes. They’re soft, chewy, sweet potatoey. They are so good.

But wait, there’s more. They have these humongous biscuits that are also so good. Believe me, the “Flying” version doesn’t compare.

P.S. Try their take on the Huevos Rancheros. It comes with both red and green salsa.

Right, closed on Mon & Tues. I love this place! If you’re not in the mood for breakfast, may I suggest the Sam Hamwich (plain)…. yummy

Hmmm… you know they make their SP pancakes straight from a mix? Try Highland Bakery’s, they’re better!

This place is awesome and totally under the radar. Love their version of a deluxe grilled cheese dubbed “the Franklin”

I used to live down the street from this place. It was a neighborhood joke. The one time I ate there I got chicken you could sole your shoes with and my neighbors all laughed at me.
I don’t know how this place stays in business. Cliff pimps for it too and its a mystery to me.
If you want breakfast, there are many better places nearby. Ria’s Bluebird on Memorial, Java Jive on Ponce, Thumb’s Up on Edgewood (cash only), even the damn Roadhouse in Little Five beat the pants off this place.
