Wishlist for 2010

I have never been a fan of new year’s resolutions. In fact, I do not ever remember having any. This year, instead of resolutions (which are broken almost all the time anyway), I am going to have a wish list for the coming 2010. Here goes…

  • I want to eat healthier. (Um, ah… nah!)
  • I want to eat more fruits.
  • I want to drink more water.
  • I want to go food shopping when I am not hungry because half of the time, the stuff I buy gets thrown away.
  • I want to learn how to bake. (No, not really, but it looks good on print.)
  • I want to be able to follow a recipe to a tee.
  • I want to start really liking salads instead of thinking of them as a waste of stomach space.
  • I want a battery-operated pepper mill.
  • I want to eat a s’more. (Because I am the last living person who has never tasted one.)
  • I want to start using my brand new All Clad slow cooker and my Professional 600 Series Kitchen Aid stand mixer.  (Yep, brand-new, still in the box, still wrapped.)

With that said, I want thank all of you so very much for visiting this blog.   May you find the same passion I have in food.  May you find the same pleasure I get when even the tiniest morsel of food passes through my lips. May you find excitement in eating.  I wish you all the best in 2010.

    Whaaa?!! The mixer is still in the box?? That thing needs to get used ASAP. You can make dessert (bread) like a champ using that thing and then give me some because kneading is a pain in the rear :)

    Love the goals– my bf actually sends me texts every hour (or so) to remind me to drink water! BAKING is FUN– Santa brought me a KitchenAid mixer and though it is still in the box my 2010 New Years Resolution is to use it once a week! Please document any advice or mishaps you come across using yours!! Anyway, just dropped in to say hello and wish you a happy new year!!

    heheh I got a battery operated pepper mill this year for Christmas :) they have a relatively good one at Wal-Mart :)

    I was going to give you crap for not opening the mixer but then realized I have a cuisinart elite food processor that I got in September that hasn’t been used once :) Love the wishlist though!

    A piece of me dies whenever you guys mention those steel beasts locked up in their cages still.

    I had the photography on my list too but I saw B’s best of 2009 pictures and I just gave up. It’s so much more realistic.
